They go out to eat and let the kids make a huge mess, act nuts, boss the server around or try to and then leave a really crappy tip? I mean I have three children (ages 8,5 and 3) and they are not allowed to do this, we've taught them from the time they were able to sit up and eat in public what is and what is not acceptable. If they make a mess we help clean it up or leave a more than generous tip, depends on the time frame. What gives?

Most children are not taught respect these days and the parents of them have disregard for any as well..Somehow they lost the basics in life along the way in rearing their children and their grandparents obviously mislead them (the parents)as well..They should have a "childrens section" in my opinion and require a tip with the bill for the wait staff of this section..No child is perfect as no parent is perfect but c'mon people get a grip on your kids!

I work in a restaurant and I have to say that CRACKERS ARE NOT A GOOD SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUR KIDS STOP LETTING THEM PLAY MASH AND SMASH WITH MY FREAKING FLOOR!

Anyway- It's not only the children that get messy, I've seen adults leave things like tomato peices on the floor with stepped on chips, straw wrappers, and dirty wadded up napkins. It baffles me, especially when the garbage can is two feet away. People just assume it's our job to clean up after them. (Well, actually it is.) But would they do that in their own home or a host of a party's house? Nope.

We know who you people are. We laugh at you when you leave the store.

I have four children myself and they all knew better than to even try, and I have never cheated anyone on their tip. If you've ever served before to make a living you know how that feels.....Some people don't have the same child rearing standards we have I suppose.

How Kids react in Public, depends on the parents and the Home they come from.
Parents set the example. If they do not care, children will not care either.
I have raised one daughter and so long she lived at home ,I set the standard.

I think that kids are messy anyway,,,,,,,,,but I agree with the generous tip............If servers have a problem serving familes then they need to talk to the owners about it...........I am sure they the owner will say deal with it............
