Humm are you refering to the "dread yellow leg disease" where mister great aim pees on his front foot. Most common in leggy dogs with lean bellies (greyhound types predominate). Try getting him to a vertical objet to lift a leg on - not a gaurentee dogs can miss a whole tree too. It's worse if they are distracted & not concentrationg on the matter at hand so peace & quiet help. But the only for sure solution is baby wipes at the yard door.
Most of the other possibilities have been well covered already

When is he peeing on himself? Does he do it when people come to the door? If so, you'll need to take him outside whenever you are expecting visitors, and make sure he empties his bladder. He gets excited and can't control himself.
Does he do it whenever he pees? Well, hate to say it, but you've got a less than intelligent dog on your hands, and you're just going to have to keep the garden hose handy to clean him up before you bring him in the house.
Does he have a dribbling problem? Take him to the vet. He could have an infection, a blockage, a weak bladder, or some other issue.
Is he an old dog? Incontinence is something that sometimes happens to dogs (and people) as they age. Doggie diapers are the best solution for that.
Good luck.

Could you be a little more specific? Like age, sex, and when this happens? An older dog or a dog that has had a spinal injury may pee on itself because it is incontinent. The best thing for that are the doggy diapers available at pet stores.

That usually only happens if the dog is really scared or ill. Sometimes they do it to show they are being submissive - that you are the one in charge - Alpha.
Figure our why he is doing it and then you can do the right things to stop it.
