Just another way of saying wife, but a little less serious. By the way, I don't like the whole "partner" word myself. It just sounds so law firmish, I have always used girlfriend, probably because I have never gotten to the "partner" level even though I have had a long term relationship, but "partner" seems so steril to me.

I have only heard that term, wifey, in a bad hip-hop song. It sounds kind of corny to me too. Why not just use lover or wife, those I like.

Wifey's World is a pornographic website, founded in 1998 and maintained by an American couple.

The "star" of the website is "Wifey," an Oregon native with natural 36DD breasts in her late thirties who, by her own admission, is an exhibitionist. She and her husband (known as "Hubby" on the site) started the site after overwhelming response to a nude Polaroid of Wifey posted on Usenet by Hubby. The couple soon after started selling home videos of their sexual escapades, and then launched a website. Although Wifey's World was not the first amateur porn website, it was one of the first to achieve a high level of popularity.

The material follows the basic guidelines of so-called "amateur pornography," featuring videos and pictures of the couple engaged in various forms of sex. The site's primary showcase is oral sex with Wifey fellating her husband and receiving his semen orally or facially; vaginal intercourse is also featured. To maintain privacy, the couple's names are never used; they only use their character names, Wifey and Hubby. Hubby's face is usually obscured.

The website itself is extremely popular; there is some conjecture the site earns the couple nearly six figures a month (Hubby stated in an interview with Monk Magazine that he wishes not to disclose any specific amount). In recent years, the website has incorporated material from other amateur pornographers wishing to be featured on the Internet, known as the "Friend's Spotlight."

A large number of similar websites have been established since 1998. Notable sites include Dawn's Place, a Canadian site spotlighting a large-breasted, thirty-something exhibitionist and her husband; and Ideepthroat.com, a site featuring a wife who massages her husband's scrotum with her tongue at the same time she is holding his nine-inch penis all the way into the bottom of her throat.

Personally, I've never heard the term "wifey". Sounds cheezy to me. My partner and I have been together for 2 yrs and we don't call each other "wife". She is my life partner and I refer to her as such. "Wifey" just sounds corny.

I have never heard that term used among gay folks. I would assume it is just another way or saying wife though.
