I had Five children all were delivered naturally. My mother had eight and all but the last one was delivered naturally. If you can deliver naturally then do it. Many of the younger are just going straight to the cesarian birth and I just cant understand why. If you have a child birth class then you shouldn't have problems. It will help you to understand better what you might go through. But don't argue with the doctor if he says you have to have a c-section. Try natural first and if there are complications the doctor will know.

Well although you may have to endure pain during natural, you heal much faster than with a C-section. I believe C-sections should only be used in emergency, as in baby wont come out after 24 hours, problem with babies heart, or something wrong with the mother. I was in labor for 9 hours. But only 6 were active. I went all the way until 30 minutes before delivering without an epidural. The epidural didnt work until after I was stitched up and my daughter was in the nursery. After she was born I forgot about all the pain and focused on my baby. It really is true that you forget about the pain after the baby is born. So I think natural is better.

I have only had a c-section however I really think vaginal is the best, from stories and from my personal opinion the vaginal is pain at the time of delivery but then a pretty quick recovery. The c-section isnt painful because you are completely numb from the breast down but man that pain once the medication wears off in unreal and it lasts for over 2 weeks, you are very limited when you come home also which makes it really difficult to take care of a newborn, I wouldnt ever choose c-section.

Depends on the situation, I think...
I have had two cesarean sections...the first was not by choice, it was an emergency situation, and the second was elective-- I chose to have it.
That said, I definitely think it's safer to deliver "naturally" in most cases. But, if a c-section is needed for the baby's safety, or the mother's, then it's "better" to do it that way.

If you're doctor tells you to get a c-section, GET IT!
The reason you get a c-section is because the baby's head is not in the correct position, and should you still try and deliver the "Natural way" if that's the case you're risking your and your baby's life. To what your doctor tells you, they're the one that went through 8+ years of school. If everythings alright, then get the natural way.

i would sooo go natural, but if it is your first child you may, just for the sake of your nerves, go cesarian. i was the first of four kids and i was the only one born at the hospital... everyone else was born at home in the bathtub adn here we are healthy and happy. once again, it is your baby so whatever MAKES YOU FEEL THE MOST COMFY wil be the best choice. good luck.
PS
if your baby is breach, go to a massage therapist and get them to turn the baby. they can. if the baby is stubborn, like me, then go probobly go with cesarian becuase it can be dangerous... but you proboly knew that

You are going to have to "pay" either way.... do you want a scar right above your bikini area (still covered by a two-piece) and more recovery time or do you want to risk an episiotomy, less recovery time and possible bathroom and sex problems? Make the best of whatever comes your way, and enjoy the end result... a healthy, happy baby.

I think it depends on how your labor goes naturally. Or if you had both done. A lot of people want to say natural, but if your labor was very bad natural ( like mine ) Im not sure what I would choose. I havent got to try a CSection, but after my last labor I am considering maybe going that route or even asking.

My friends all had their babies naturally and now it hurts them when they have sex, I had both of my kids by c-section and sex doesn't hurt at all. In fact my husband and I didn't have to wait the 6 weeks before havaing sex again after the babies were born, my oldest was 10 days old and my youngest was 14 days old.

I would say vaginally...it is soo cool to watch your baby come out! There is nothing that compares to this. But if it is medically necessary, and Dr. says you need to have a section, then I would say do that..most important to get a healthy baby, right?
