Anybody ever been there? I really want to go someday to see a nascar race!!

I have been to that speedway and Chicagoland speedway every year for NASCAR. it is great, better than tv or anything else. Just go and bring lots of money for food, water, and souvenirs. Wear sunscreen and be prepared for a long day. Even Friday, the time trials and saturday, the busch races are lots of fun. I always get a weekend pass and a pit pass, so much fun. LOL.

Yes I went last year. Save your money and watch it on tv. While nothing compares to witnessing a live NASCAR race, the track at Indy is not fan freindly. The stands do not rise very high above the track and it is impossible to see the entire track from anywhere. I spent most of the day watching the big screens in the infield just so I could keep up with what was going on.

Don't listen to the whiners. You don't go to the Grand Canyon and moan because you can't see it all from one spot.
Indy is history. It's a BEAUTIFUL facility. You will NEVER see more people, pageantry, color, and history.
I think every American should see the 500 at least once in their lives. The 400 is great too.
The racing may be better at some venues but there is only one Indy. Go if you ever get the chance.

I used to go for the time trials back in the 60's but I never did make a race.

Yea I've been there it is AWESOME! It is SO BIG!!! You would love it! Hope u get to go there someday! From where we sit the track is so big that u can't see all the way around it! It is AWESOME!

yedahup, and i'm headed there again in august.. YESSS!! it's a pretty good track.l visibility is kind of rough in a few spots, but it's all gravy. if you get the chance do it.
