no that is not normal at all or at least i dont think so iv always herd when u first start ur period the may be eregular but that means like may be u skipped a month or one came early but every other year sounds not normal i would go to a docter if i were u

First of all ,how old you are and when did you experience you first period? And it depends also if you are already sexually active.
Usually you start your period at the age of 11 or 12 and the first few years it can be quiet irregular. But in your case I would seek the help of a doctor. You might suffer from a Hormone In balance.Wish you good Luck.

since 2003? Please get to a doctor. It does take time for periods to become regular, but not that long, and not like that.
You should get one every month or so, not once a year.I would talk to a doctor. I dont know your age, but it may be just that you need to go on the pill to get yourself on schedule or something.

It may or may not be, depending on your body.

When I got my first period, it took me roughly three-four years for my body to fully get itself into working order. However, I got my period every single month. They weren't always around the same time, but I still got one every month.

This could be a hormonal imbalance. I'd go see your doctor. He might advise to put you on birth control to even things out.

Besides, birth control murders cramps in their tracks. ^_^

There are a lot of possible reasons that your period is so irregular. You need to be examined by a doctor to see if anything is wrong, because that really isn't normal.

do not freak out...but seek a doctor just for questioning...everyone isnt the same when it comes to periods...if you cannot visit your doctor see if you can call someone over the phone. Im sure they will be able to answer a few questions without seeing you.

it should definitely be ONCE A MONTH.. ..i would not freak out, but go to a doctor immediately. i have never heard of a period every other year.... that is VERY strange. i dont mean to scare you or anything, but like everyone else said... GO TO A DOCTOR NOW
