Moles are a build up of the pigmant of the skin, and occur as a natural process of getting rid of the extra pigmant. Some people, like me, are more prone to moles due to illness' such as Gilbert's Syndrome, which is a liver dysfunction.

I know heredity plays a role. My great grandmother, grandma, and mother has them. They recently showed up, I guess about 6 or 7 years in my face. Does anyone know the procedure for removal?

I think its an inherited trait, you are more likely to have them if it runs in your family.
