It's past time to pull out. Our people are sitting ducks over there. It is not worth it. Iraq has already said it would not back us if we go into Iran. Why should we continue to risk lives for a country that techinally is not on our side, and never will be. Some countries can never be democrocies, and really don't want to be.
Religion interfers too much in the way that country is ran. Didn't Bush realize that the Shites and Sunnis don't get along?

Absolutely the right thing to do---we had to take extreme measures because we have been mollycoddling muslims from that region during previous adminstrations ---and this is the sad part. We shouldn't blame the President for cleaning up the mess of previous adminstrations.
Iraq will be a better place soon---it is already improving---and muslims everywhere will make an effort to respect life of non-muslims and respect other religions---or be dealt with harshly. I hope the next President keeps teaching that lesson, because it is working, inspite of all the media bias and the bad news in the short term.
To the short-sighted---it is not about oil, or taking over a country. It is about fighting for decency, American values and American way of life. Unless, of course you would rather have your women covered up, never leave home, never drive by themselves, and have your children grow up believing all non-muslims are filth.

We should be in Afghanastan looking for Osama.
Turboweegie: Show me the positives, please. I keep hearing about them, but no one ever shows them.
Paanbahar: In response to your statement, "It is about fighting for decency, American values and American way of life." Why did we need to fight for American values and the American way of life in a culture that did not recognize those values and ways of life? In fact, I remember on 9/11 watching TV and seeing people dancing in the streets of Baghdad and celebrating our misery. If you were to ask me, I'm not going to try and help someone who is cheering my attackers in my darkest hour. I consider myself to be a pretty compassionate guy, but that just seems messed up to me. By the way, the reasons for going to Iraq changed a few times, so which one is the real reason? WMDs, Terrorism, Democracy?

Unfortunately necessary.
But it has yielded significant positive results, both in Iraq and the world.
