What do you think of lip piercings?

I was thinking of getting one. My boyfriend is getting one as well. Do you think of them as being attractive for male or female? and if anybody has one, exactly how painful is it? I watched my friend get hers done and it looked kind of gross. Seemed like it would be painful as well :) ouch.

Im not gothic, nor am I punk, skater or anything of that sort. I just find lip piercings very interesting and I intended to get something small. My boyfriend isnt goth or whatever else either. He's actually more of a well dressed [preppy] kind of guy. I personally think they look awesome on guys. But I dont need any of you telling me not to get one. I already planned on it. Just wanted your opinion on how they look. Thanks.

I have two. (I have my fangs pierced) I don't wear them as much anymore... due to my job.. but I think they are very sexy. It doesn't really matter what I or anyone else thinks however... do what you want.

All of you guys are so funny telling her want not to do. Like you all really know. I have had mine out here for a while. It is just a little hole. Yes it will leave a scare if you take it out in 15 years... but we all have scares that tell something about us... not any different.

I think that lip piercings are very attractive on men and some women. Don't worry about what other people think about it and don't just do it because your boyfriend is. Do it because you know that you want one. I am sure that it will hurt a little but take it from someone with a few piercings, the pain is worth it.

I like them alot. I want one.

But I think it might be hard to get a job with a visable face piercing.

Also take good care of it theres nothing more gross than a crusty lip.

I dont like the pointy ones. I wouldnt want to kiss anyone with a pointy one.

I think they are very UNattractive. Tongue piercing I like, lip piercing looks stupid, don't do it and tell your boyfriend not to do it either. When you do take it out it leaves a scar that always looks like a zit for the rest of your life.

All I could think while reading your question was OWW!

I had double piercings in both ears and I can't wear earrings anymore. I miss them.

Just make sure you get a professional to do it and take good care of it.

My son's lip swelled up so big, it had to hurt. And a friend I met in a college class had a big blue flower ring on her lip that bobbed up and down when she talked and I found it very distracting to talk to her because all I could focus on was that flower bobbing up and down.

I think that they look pretty gross... But it is your body. However, you may want to consider how you will feel about them in say, ten years, fifteen years, etc. Even if it is really easy to take them out, they will most likely leave a mark! Consider yourself forewarned!

i really like piercing but that one is a lil unconfortable, dont do that because ur bf have one, do it if u feel confortable how u will look.

I know is painfull i have friends and i asked before, i actually have one in my nose and was a lil pain but the mouth is more sensitive than nose.

I don't find them to be very attractive plus I don't think that it would be very fun to kiss a person whose got something on their lips.
