someone screwed it up by adding a viper remote start, all the wires were cut short. I brought the car cheap since this was messed up. The dash lights dont work, the brake lights dont brighten when used, one headlight doesnt work, turn signals doesnt work, sometimes the car wont start because the security feature, and the sirens use to work but dont now. Its a chevy monte carlo 95.

Body shops don't tend to do electrical work unless that happens to be part of a sheet metal job they're doing. In any case, they would probably be more expensive than an independent mechanic, but about the same as a dealer.

If it's a '95 model American car, you could definitely find a decent independent mechanic to do a reasonably good cheap job, but if you truly want it done right, you just have to suck up the cost and take it to a dealer. They may gouge up one side and down the other, but they're the only sure way to get it done right the first time. I've dealt with both dealers and independents, and if you can find a really really good independent guy, STICK WITH HIM! The good ones are notoriously hard to find, but they do just as good a job as a dealer for a lot less.

You knew all this stuff and you still bought the car???? Why r u thinking about bringing electrical work to a body shop? You bring pushed in bumpers and fenders to the computer repair guy? You will be towed to the poorhouse in this sled. Sell it; and don't forget the part about truthful disclosure.

it cheaper to take it to the auto technician instead of bodyshop.they will remove the dash and install new wiring harness underneath it.
