Your son is FOUR freaking months old!! You are WAY to absorbed by appearance and by all things YOU!! I think that wanting to change a baby's appearance is abusive! You need help!!

I wouldn't worry about it. If his ears stick out a little then thats who he is. I don't know what they look like because I've never seen your son, but sometimes kids do have ears that stick out alot and if it doesn't bother him then leave them alone, but talk to his doctor because I've seen kids on tv who have this problem and they were made fun of when they got older. Don't do anything about it now, but if it gets to the point where they bother him the way they are then look into getting it fixed.

My ears stick out too. I guess when I was a baby the doctor told my mom to tape them back to my head but I hated it and she didn't want to torture me. Then when I was growing up I got teased because to my big ears so my mom took me to a plastic surgeon to see if they could get the insurance to cover it. I decided that it was no big deal and stood up for myself after that. Kids stopped teasing me and now nobody even notices that my ears stick out. As much as you'd like your son to be just right, dealing with kids that are going to tease him in the future is only going to build character and make him a better person. There's nothing wrong with looking a little different.

My brother's baby had ears that stuck out. They kept a headband on him while at home. The cartilidge in the ear is still soft for a while. I think it helped some. He'll grow into his ears, don't worry.

Don't worry so much about things like stick out ears. Is your baby happy and healthy? Believe me, your baby will be growing and changing so much. He might just grow into his ears if you be patient.

My mom used to lightly tape my sister's ears back to help, but you can only do this at a very young age to ensure success. I am sure that a 4 month old would respond, though.

Leave it alone. How will you be able to teach him to love himself for who he is if you are worried about little things like that?
