It sounds like your baby is doing just fine. Don't worry about what the books say. Your baby will do stuff when she is ready.
As far as the watching and laughing at the toys that is normal, it isn't right at 3 months she will do all this stuff it is just an estimation. The crawling is awsome. Just help her a little bit, kind of kneel above her (having your thighs holding like her ribs, not tight, but enough to keep her from tipping) and help her move her arms and legs. It will get the idea in her head that she can move them. It will help build up the muscles in her arms and legs to help her crawl on her own.
You sound like you are doing a great job with your baby. Again don't worry about what she is and isn't doing by the book those are just estimations and your baby will do what she wants when she is ready. Keep up the GREAT work.

Milestones are not an exact science. Around 3 months can mean anytime between 2.5-4 months old.
The best toy at this age is you. Smile, laugh and sing to her.

hand over hand is great fworking on motor skills. Put your hand on hers and open her fingers, push her along the floor to a toy using your hands over hers and move her the way she needs to go. When she reaches the toy, you can play an interactive game with her with that toy. Put toys in her hand or take her hand and reach together, or for her favoite treat.

don't rush her! those baby books are just guides to let u know on average what babies are "suppose" to be doing at that particular time..but babies move at there own pace..some talk before others, some crawl first, some walk first..my nephew actually walked and he never crawled..weird huh? but it's the truth..she'll get to it when she get's to it..it doesn't mean that there is something wrong with her..give her time.. and congrats on the first baby!

Mine didn't swat at things "on time". They all go through things at diffrent times, it's ok. And the hand being close and rolling to her back-that's generally how they roll over, so don't worry. My favorite thing to do with my daughter was to play with her with a washclothe or something. I put it over her face and pull it off (peekaboo) and eventually she started pulling it off herself and things like that, Just don't worry-its ok.

Motor skill aren't as important as mental development. As long as she is laughing and interacting mentally with her environment..everything should be fine. Any game you play with her is the game she needs. It's nice that you care so much.. but remember to relax.

When in doubt, ask your pediatrician. Kids develop in different ways and at different paces. If you have a bad feeling about it, ask the doc. I had two that couldn't wait to get bigger and one that was in no hurry whatsoever!
