Tell her the hair on your legs is bothering you and was hoping she could teach you how to shave properly. I tried it by myself the first time and ended up shaving a huge piece of skin off my shin bone. It hurt so much I still remember it. Hopefully your mom will be supportive.

First of all, how old are you?? You shouldn't need to shave until you have unsightly hair on your legs or underarms. If you are 13-14 years old, I say tell your Mom how you feel and ask how do you go about shaving. She will appreciate you coming to her with the question and helping you start a new routine the proper way. She will also trust you alot more. A Mom can be your best friend when it comes to "womanly" things. Good luck.

Say, "Mom, I want to know how to properly shave my legs so I don't hurt myself?" I know how important this is cause I have problems simply because I am allergic to every shaving cream and gel I have ever tried, and all soap does is irritate. Took me a long time to find something that worked, and I think it might have been easier if I had talked to my Mom. Good Luck. I am sure she will be very understanding.

Well my first time, I just stole one of her razors and shaved! To this day I have never cut myself. eventually She started noticing her razors were missing one day and bought me some more. All you have to do is make sure you have soap or something on your legs so you don't cut yourself. I used a Shick Intuition the first time, you kanow with the soap in it? Very easy and pain free. Sometimes it dosen't get as close as I might like but it worked.

My mom still didnt want me to shave my legs until I was in 7th grade (summer after 6th grade)
I have dark hair so it's even worse, but I kept begging and begging until it drove her nuts!
Then after school ended, I waxed it off first
Then I shaved regularly.
If it's bad, tell your mom that you think you should be able to shave your legs.
DON'T SHAVE IT BEFORE YOU GET HER APPROVAL. If she already said no, but you do it anyway.. you'll have trouble gaining her trust later on in life.
So ask her and if she says no, tell her that you think you're ready.
good luck!

tell her your legs are getting hairy and that it would be nice to have smooth legs. my mom said to me that i needed to shave so i didnt have to ask her but still all you have to do is give her a clue that the hair is bothering you and she will understand because im sure she shaves.

Just be honest with her, she'll appreciate it. If you feel you need to shave your legs then go for it.
