Hitchcock being a mamal had to be born with a belly button, its just how it is for us mamals. Apparently Hitchcock had several opperations in the belly area leading his doctors to sow up the bb, but I have never read this from a credible printed source. I suspect its an bizarre urban legend.

I don't think this is correct. In a biography of Hitchcock, one of the things Hitchcock did to entertain afterdinner guests was to paint a face on his stomach with the belly button as the mouth and pretend the face was whistling. I think everyone would have been freaked out if he had no belly button.

I believe that would be impossible unless he miraculously lived in his mother's womb without being fed through the umbilical cord for 40 weeks.

Hhahahahahha, that's funny. I don't know if that's true or not. If it is, he probably had some abdominal operation or something, and they just left it off when they sewed him back up. Neato.
