Hell No!
For those that think you have to be thin to be beautiful has been suckered into the "Mass Marketing Machine" that makes you feel that you have to buy their product(s) in order to be attractive.
Billions of dollars have been vacumed out of wallets and purses of those that have been made self conscious about their appearance by these companies.
Magazines that portray this "ideal" are equally to blame..... can you say "air-bushing"?!
A woman with a little bit of meat on them, or one not afraid to actually EAT a full and healthy meal means they are capable of having healthy children. Skinny diet conscious chicks drive me nuts. This goes for the guys too! Moderation is the key.
To all of those that have commented on my picture and my weight on Yahoo Q & A..... get stuffed. I am who I am. If you don't like it, too bad. Feel better about yourself some other way. That is why you condemn heavier people, right!
Just be healthy and be sexy..... end of story.

To be glamorous you must have an air of allure, romance and excitement, that’s the definition of it.
Allure: To attract with something desirable; entice
Romance: Ardent emotional attachment or involvement between people
Excitement: The act or an instance of exciting.
I’m certain that for some people heavy weight women will fill these criteria, so the answer must be no, a woman does not have to be thin to be glamorous. However, if she is thin she would be glamorous to most people.

Of course not!
Most people think of Marilyn Monroe as glamorous, right?
She was a size 16; a size that is today found in the Plus Size section.
Of course, the very overweight have a difficult time being seen by society as beautiful... but the same can be said of the very underweight. No man likes skin and bones.

NO!! There A LOT of non-thin people in this world and they are very glamorous. To me glamorous is a way to perceive you self not nesacarly how you look. Once you have a positive image of yourself you can be anything u want to be. PLEASE don't let Hollywood and Super Stars set your mind frame on what is glam and what isn't. Be your own PERSON!

no not at all.... I sure don't think any of those really skinny women are glamorous at all!! how can you look glamorous when you look like a starving boy ???.... glamor comes from inside a woman anyway.. its the spark of being alive, being happy with yourself and exuding confidence!!!!!!! any woman of any size can be glamorous!!!!!!! Be confident , content with yourself, have high self esteem, and you will outshine any skinny girl!

Absolutely not! Well, how thin is thin to you? I think Monica Bellucci is not what Americans think of as thin but I believe she is one of the most glamorous women alive. She's certainly not a pudge, though.

First off, BROOKLYN's response (the first one) was just rude.
Secondly, no. Queen Latifah is one of the most glamorous women around and isn't abnormally underweight like most of the women suffering from Hollywood Syndrome.

Absolutely not. Much of society believes so, but in reality, there are plenty of girls and women that are not thin - or anywhere near thin - that are considered beautiful. Consider them and their characteristics. They are confident and happy in their position, and comfortable with themselves. And it's not always what's on the outside that makes someone beautiful - it's what's on the inside and what comes out of a person that determines them and what they are.

NO, God made us all different and some of us are larger then others. Just because you aren't thin doesn't mean that you can't be glamorous, it just means that you shouldn't wear tight clothing. You would want to wear looser items of clothing.
