I had just quit smoking( one of the hardest things I had ever done) and I decided I would spend the money I'd normally spend on a pack of cigarettes on some scratch-offs. I ended up winning $200 dollars! It was the first time I had ever won anything and it was a sign to me that I really did do the right thing by giving up cigarettes for good.

i knew a lady in my hometown that played the lotto for years. she won twice. quit a bit. over 100 grand the first time and over 50 grand the second time. she repainted her house and bought her poor, school teacher son a new car. other than that not much changed. i did see that she put a flower bed in front of her house. nothing negative came out of it.
