Why does winning a match merit going out in the streets at 1 the morning to honk the horns and scream? Don't these people have to get up early the next morning?

I'm referring to this weekend's Iran-Mexico match. So we beat Iran. Big freaking deal. It's not as if it was a tough team to begin with.

This happens every four years, but it seems this time they began celebrating a little too early in the game...

I'm from Argentina, and I'm wondering the same thing. The team from my country (Notice I am not saying "my" team) won a game and people went out to celebrate it.

A reasonable explanation I heard is that people need to celebrate something, and even a simple game does the trick. Maybe over there in Mexico the same explanation applies.

You need to be a soccer fan to understand this. Maybe you should just rela and let others express their joy in public. They are probably not working for sure.
