I had artificial nails for eleven months with no problem then the girl that was doing my nails moved and I went to her boss after that one nail was painfull and I went to two other people in a period of one month. I took my nails off and my line on the top of most of my nails was turning white and going down. Doctor said he thought the infection was a bacterial infection?? I also requested an antifungal and took both eleven days has past and there is not a big improvement but I have a cold now and feel dizzy and spacy? Hopefully they will clear up on their own but I would think there would have been a better option like some sort of topical solution.

Keflex is an antibiotic that is used to cure BACTERIAL infections. It will do nothing for a VIRAL infection. Viral infections are very different from bacterial infections. The Keflex will not make you MORE suceptible to any viral infections. If you have a cold, it is a viral infection, one that is self-limiting. That is why a cold makes us feel so bad, but over time, it will get better and go away. But as far as Keflex making you more suceptible to viral infections, the answer is no.

But why are you taking Keflex for your nail infection. You should have taken anti fungal ointments etc. Did you check with your doctor or you started taking your self. Keflex is a 1st gen cephalosporin and will do nothing for the fungal infection.
Answer to your question is No, until you have any other immunological problem.

No, it will not. What kind of infection are we talking about?? If it is fungal, Keflex will not help. Keflex is for bacterial infections. Although it may make you more susciptible to yeast infections. Hope you're not taking someone elses' medication (?). Not a good idea.
