No.
The child was conceived as an act of violence, with no intention of the rapist to conceive a child -- for him, it's purely a "fluke."
It would be incredibly cruel to inflict the mother (and the child she loves) with the presence of the very man who treated her like a piece of meat or an object to be destroyed. That's not justice, and it's certainly not love. It's another crime heaped upon the first.
I think any interaction between the mother or child and the rapist should be purely on the mother's or child's (when the child comes of age) terms. If they want to meet later, that's their prerogative. Sometimes a child can get closure that way, and has the right to know the truth.
But to force it by a legal order? I'm pretty broad-minded, but I consider such a thing pretty despicable.

I guess YES!
It was the act that he had done that made us hate for what he did. But the child is innocent and every child deserves to know who is his biological parent. Otherwise it will be a piece of his life that he will not find fulfillment of his whole being in this world that he lives in.
Yes, it's a mortal sin what the rapist did. But no one in this world has the right to condemn a sinner. Only the Almighty One. .
To err is human; to forgive, divine.
If You have been that child, would you not care to look and long for your real father then?
You may not all agree.. but this is my opinion..

i don't think a rapist deserves visitation with the child, because he is a bad example for the child. what is he going to teach the baby? you know. even if he got his life right with God that would be a very serious thing to consider, you know. because in your mind you'd probably be thinking he'd do the same to your kid. NO.

Absolutely not...as a matter of fact he should be locked up and in this case I personally think abortion is appropriate....who wants to raise a child whose genetics include the tendency to become a rapist?

Of course not. The rapist should be in jail, not visiting the child.

Morally no, since he has caused enough damage to all parties and will cause further emotional trauma to the mother upon return to her life.
Logically yes, he has created this child and is allowed a right to see his biological offspring although through unlawful ways. It is not unjust for him to meet the child.

My opinion.
Cut his nuts off, refuse access & sue his folks for producing a thug!
Would anyone expect the child to have anything to do with a man like that.
No father's better than a bad father!

No, but in our sometimes cruel world, visitation rights would probably be granted. Its like when a robber breaks into your house, slips on the floor and hurts himself and sues the owners of the house they break into and WINS.
