Important? I mean, capturing Saddam Hussein didn't cease the insurgency. How will "bringing to justice" al-Zarqawi change anything? Won't there just be another to take his place? Isn't the problem rooted a bit more deeply than one man (as awful as he was)? Also, it isn't like Osama bin Laden even liked him. Ironic that Osama and Dubbya are cheering for the same thing?

As we know, his successor has already assumed the new position as leader and plans to take dramatic action to avenge the death of Zarqawi. However, him being dead is important. It would be worse with him alive. He's the one that viciously beheaded, bombed, and assassinated so many people. He's killed thousands, the majority of which were civilans and a lot of which were Shiite Muslims. Although the violence will still persist, those victims deserved justice and I am glad that the last thing he saw before he died were American Soldiers.
