I got my belly button pierced 4 years ago. I had the ring in for a little under two years, and finally took it out about 2 years ago. In all this time it hasn't closed up. I have even been putting Neosporin on it everyday for about 6 months in hopes that it would close. Anything I can do to seed up the process? How long do you think it will take to close completely?

Check with your doctor.

If it hasn't closed by now after all this time, it most likely will not. I guess you will just have to love with the decision you made when you made it. Somewhat like a tattoo. Can be removed, but not easily.

It may not ever close up! my mom had her ears pierced 25 years ago, and had not had earrings in for 20 years, she can still put earrings in now! wierd I think.
Good luck finding a way though. :-D

I've heard that once you've had it for so long it doesn't close up.
