i have been invited to a wedding but only the reception, is it apropriate to wear the full tartan dress?

Why only the reception?
You do not half to wear the full tartan dress if you are not going to be in the wedding or at the full thing....

i usually wear a a ghillie shirt with my kilt - it still looks great and not as restricting as the shirt/waistcoat/jacket.
