What do you think that whole scene at the end of the season finale means? I think that Penelope's dad set up Dharma and she knows about it and knows that Desmond is a part of it. I also think that she knows that it has something to do with electromagnetic activity thus she set up a station to monitor Electromagnetic activity.

like their leader
i think the end scene is she knew desmond would end up there
but she didnt know where the place was
so they were monitering the magnetic stuff
or
shes just in charge of it and she has to watch it

I think they all really died in the plane crash and just haven't realized it yet. The ones that are dying are just finally making their transition to the other side.
