I have tried the Ultra sound test during week 11-12 & doctor said this is BOY which 60% possibility. Do I trust him ? Or it will be an accident that it is a GIRL by later test ???
I have 2 girls (1 at 7 yrs old & 1 at 1 yr old), my husband (2nd marriage) loves boy so much. So we decide to take this baby even though our Finance is not enough to afford the whole family.

First of all let me say I try not to be judgemental but I think it is really sad that you could decide whether or not to keep a baby based on its sex. That is just sad.
You are an adult and know where babies come from. If you did not want another child you should have taken better precautions.
Now let me also say that early in a pregnancy they should not even tell you what the sex is. Sex organs are VERY rarely developed at this point. However on the same token all babies start out as females so if the doctor is seeing boy parts chances are they are there and it is a boy.

I have 3 children, and each one is a blessing. I would never even consider not keeping one b/c their sex isnt what I wanted it to be. You should be grateful that the baby is healthy!!

That being said, it is too soon to tell the sex of the baby. What the doctor saw was most likely the umbilical cord. Wait until you are between 16 and 20 wks then do another US to determine the sex.

The ultrasound at this stage is not proof positive. In a month or two the test will be more accurate in "seeing" the sex of the baby. Even so, the ultrasound is NEVER 100% positive. I am afraid that you can get an idea, but nothing positive unless you have an amnio before your due date.

I am in the same situation. I have 2 boys and want a girl. There is nothing wrong about that! My ultrasound is next week at 12 weeks. Will they tell me anything, I don't know yet. I feel that mixed families are healthy for everyone.

It's too early to be sure. Male organs aren't totally formed and able to be seen until around week 18-19. That's why they wait to do the big ultrasound until around week 20. It's possible that he saw it, but not totally accurate. I would wait to be sure.

This happened to my sis-in-law and she said they told her she was having a girl, then when she went for her 20 week ultrasound they told her it was a boy. She was so mad!! I told her the first time that it wasn't very accurate that early, but she didn't want to listen. She had everything ready for girl before she was even 16 weeks along! I thought it was funny. But then, you have to know her to understand.

I would take it with a grain of salt and wait until your 20 week ultrasound to be sure. If it's a boy, congrats!! If it's a girl, at least you know what to expect!! Good luck!!

at 11-12 weeks its really to early to tell by ultrasound but like you say its a possibility I'd say 50-50 not 60-40 though

What do you mean decided to take this baby? I wouldn't trust an ultrasound so early on.Usually though if they say boy than it's a boy.Boy's are easier for them to determine than girls.
