It is normal to be cautious with people you don't really know well. Trust is one of the things that has to be earned, and it takes time to build trust. It only takes a second to destroy it. Your boyfriend has a history, and if he has had problems in the past, he may believe it is hard to trust people.
You get your boyfriend to trust you by : 1. never saying things you don't mean 2. keep your promises 3. don't give him ultimatums 4. take care of anything that belongs to him that you might borrow 5. never talk about him to other people 6. keep all confidences he shares with you to yourself 7. behave in a way that is modest and trustworthy 8. don't do anything to make him jealous 8. respect his opinions, his belongings, and his privacy
Relationships take time to form, they don't happen overnight. You can use the suggestions I listed with everyone you meet, and you will earn a reputation for being loyal and trustworthy, two of the most valuable character assets on earth.
Good luck !

Have you given him a reason not to trust you? If you haven't then your boyfriend might have some issues of trust. Maybe something happend to him when he was younger where someone he trusted betrayed his trust. You can't force him to trust you. It's up to him. But if you want your relationship to work properly, there has to be trust.
You need to talk to him and get down to the bottom of the issue. It sounds like it's more deeper than him trusting you. It sounds like he may be afraid of something.
Good Luck!

It may not be you. Need more context here, but it could be that he is projecting his own indiscretions on you by not trusting you. If this is the case, investigate what the deal is with him...
Or, he could have had his trust broken in the past by someone else. If this is the case, there's no easy answer. He has to solve it within himself, you can help, but it's ultimately up to him.
Or, there could be an inbalance in the relationship (he likes you more than him/you like him more). If this is the case, this is a larger problem that needs to be resolved. Imbalance in relationships can be dangerous...they can lead to abuse, etc.

be kind, generous, share but not everything neccesarily, if there is something you dont want him to know DONT tell him.....be naughty but not bitchy.....have fun......all da best......

Building trust in someone takes time, and really getting to know someone inside and out.
