Please choose from among the following states considered Southern:
Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma.

Missouri, Maryland, and Delaware aren't really Southern, even if they are below the Mason-Dixon Line, sorry. Also, I don't want any answers from any of you California smart alecs who like to say "move to Cali man, way better dude." (No offense to anybody from California who isn't smart alec and doesn't talk like that.)

Please explain why you love or hate certain state(s)? You can use climate, geography, job opportunities, economy, the people, friendliness, and others you may choose.

My personal favorites are Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi. They all are beautiful, with great people! My least favorites are Virginia, Florida, and (especially) Kentucky; many of the people in those places are meaner and more impolite than folks in the northeast.

My favorites Tennessee and North Caolina. They are pretty and the people are exceptionally nice. My least favorite is Florida. I lived in Fort Lauderdale, and it's a nasty overcrowded hellole and the people are rediculously rude!

I love Oklahoma. Always have. The people are great, the traffic isn't too bad, and there is always something to do. Having graduated from the University of Oklahoma, I love my Sooner Football and Basketball.

I also enjoy Tennessee with the history and mountains and woods. The weather is beautiful and the people are just as nice.

Florida shouldn't even be considered a southern state for the most part. Except for the Panhandle, what else exemplifies the Southern way of life?

Oklahoma is by far my favorite state! I've lived here all my life and I love the people. That being said, Texas is pretty great too. Everyone in the south just seems to take things a little slower and be a little nicer. I don't think that I could pick a southern state that I don't like. All the ones that I don't like are up north. It's too cold up there...lol..

My two favorite southern states are Tennessee and Georgia. I will always love Georgia simply because it is my home...when I think of it, I think of iced tea and the Ohoopee River, I think of horse back riding and mud bogging, and lazy days in my hammock, and Sundays fishing in my Papa's pond. Tennessee is absoultely gorgeous, and I love the weather there (except the winter). Personally, I think the South is beautiful period-it's warm and friendly, and it takes you back to the simple things in life. My least favorite "southern" state is Flordia-it's lost its southern card, in my opinion. It's too crowded now, and filled with people from all over the nation except for the South. A lot of people there are rude and pushy, and don't represent what makes the South great.

My favorite is TEXAS mostly b/c I've lived here all my life and it's just home to me. My least favorite is Louisiana. I just think that its an ugly state, they don't keep there towns and roads up. Its just not a pretty place to me.

Texas! I grew up there, my sister and grandmother were born there, and have have some family and friends living there. I also like the weather because you get both warm and cold weather.
