I don't know if they've been there, but there's a theory that the most homophobic guys are the ones who are secretly afraid that they are a little bit gay... you know, like the ex-army Sgt Major character in 'American Beauty'

It depends, some people can't understand it so there for find it odd, as with anything, and then there's people who just hate.
These people are either gay or are so insecure about themselves they need to find a scapegoat for their lack of a back bone.

You're putting up the gay argument! Gay's just make that statement to make it 'tricky' for hetero's to defend themselves when attacking the gay lifestyle.
Frankly I could care less about the Gay thing.....they don't reproduce anyway.

I think all homo-phobia stems from the fear that maybe they themselves are gay.
