What's scary and crazy about the World?::
"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U. S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'." - Chris Rock

How disconnected people are becoming from the Earth and every living thing.

When we see one another as being so seperate from us and we think we are alone in how we feel, we tend to fear everything.... then hatred and anger take over.... this sort of self-isolation is what causes most of today's problems.

We need to feel connected to each other in order to love and care about more than just ourselves.

Nuclear warheads; they are the most destructive weapon on this planet as of now and produce both immense short term damage and long-term fallout toxification of a wide area.

Just a matter of time before antimatter weaponry is applied in warfare.

The fact that I am bringing up 2 children in a world that seems so full of hatred, violence, etc. The things I did at my daughters age of 12 are to dangerous to even consider today. You REALLY have to think about every move that you allow them to make. Freedom=Danger in todays society.

The tendency in the United States for people to claim that they love the US and its freedoms, but insist that if you don't support their point of view you should move somewhere else. This is particularily true of the religious right, but not exclusive to them.

The United States is in grave danger of becoming a theocracy. That scares the he** out of me

That America does not learn a lesson: that violence and war leads to more violence and war.

Instead, of finding a new way towards reconcilation we have chosen to enrich the military manufacturing companies (same as last 50 years)

AIDS!

People don't understand how big a problem it really is. Many aren't practicing safe sex or getting tested as regular as they should. The statistics keep on growing.

Monogamy is still not as safe b/c we never bloody know what our partner is doing... and even an AIDS test once a year is not enough.

I fear that i may never have kids just b/c of my preoccupation with getting AIDS.

The disparity between the haves and the have nots. The middle class is dying and we are rapidly becoming a bi-polar society. This could lead to a totalitarian society, revolution, and/or anarchy.

you mean before i found the Lord and realised there is nothing to fear?

lots of stuff. i think what most made me afraid was that there were violent murderous weirdos living in our very suburbs. that you have more of a chance of getting murdered in this life, than winning the lotto (statistically). that was a worry.

but now i fear nothing.

things still concern me, like the state of our youth and the fact that parents and authority figures wont admit its there own faults... but i know we can overcome all of it, so theres no fear involved :-)
