Toward the end of the film, when the creature inside of Blair (Brimley) infests Garry (Moffat), what does he say as he is doing so? I have watched this several times and cannot seem to make it out.
Also, don't you agree that a sequel is long overdue?

Have you tried watching the film with subtitles turned on? That should let you know if there are actual words coming out of him or just groans and gurgles.
I'd do it myself and let you know, but my brother stole my copy and took off to Victoria B.C. with it!
And yes, a sequel should be coming. After seeing the crap that gets sequels these days, hollywood would be nuts not to consider a thing II.

It freaked me out when I first saw it as a little kid, but as I got older, I really began to like it. It is so suspenseful. The first time you watch it, you don't know who to trust: which guy is telling the truth and which guy really has the Thing in him. Good movie. It was awfully gory, but it was so well written.
I have no idea what was said in the film that you can not understand.
Maybe they could call the sequel The Next Best Thing. Oh wait, that is the title from another movie. Or maybe they could have The Thing take over the Desperate Housewives. That might be interesting.

Excellent film, as was the original starring James Arness as the Thing, and sorry my memory fails me at this time regarding the quote that you're seeking, and yes indeed, I wish they'd make a sequel, I think that it would do very well in the Theaters providing some of the original cast members and John Carpenter are involved in making it:)

Great , great movie! The special effects were ahead of its time. Yes I agree a sequel should have been done!
