I WAS TURNED DOWN INITIALLY AND FILED AN APPEAL , I HAVE CALLED A FEW LAWYERS FOR HELP AND THEY ALL SAY WAIT FOR THE APPEAL DECISION BEFORE THEY WILL HELP. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA OF THE NORMAL WAITING PERIOD FOR AN APPEAL DECISION FOR DISABILITY. MY INITIAL CLAIM TOOK 8 MONTHS AND WAS DENIED.

It depends if you are waiting on an answer from the Disability Determination Services arm of Social Security or from a private company determining disability for short or long term disability for employment.

They might also be gathering new information to research. If you have any new medical claims, be sure to make copies and send them.

Within two years. It's been said that they always
deni the case first. The tv Lawyers say two years,
and that they can get it done faster.
Hang in there...
