my computer shuts itself down to sleep mode, but didn't in the past. I just want to be able to wiggle my mouse and have it wake up mode.
Anyone know how to tell me how to do this?

Yes,

Right click on your DESKTOP and click on ScreenSavers.

Then click on the POWER button and and change the pulldown to ALWAYS ON. You can then reconfigure ALWAYS ON, so that everything is set to NEVER.

You are right. With some computers, the sleep mode is pretty much equivalent to DEAD mode.

Good luck

Chances are its overheating. Especially because you have it set on low power mode. Low power mode will reduce energy any way it can and one of the ways is slowing the speed of the fans or completely shutting them off. Which will cause the Laptop to overheat and turn off... Try running it with Normal Power or High Performance and see what happens. Dont download any program to see how hot your computer is just put your hand on the bottom and feel. It will save you from getting viruses.

You will need to locate your laptop's power manager (mine is called Battery maxiMiser Wizard)...usually just by double-clicking on the graphic of the plug/battery in your tray. Then, if you don't see the appropriate setting already set up for your requirements, you will need to create a new 'scheme'.

yes go to control panel in start menu, then go to 'power options' click on it and you will see where you can scroll down to 'never' click and apply, or in order to preserve battery power you might use 30 minutes in case u forget to turn off and leave it.....
