Please choose from among the following states considered Southern:
Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma.
Missouri, Maryland, and Delaware aren't really Southern, even if they are below the Mason-Dixon Line, sorry. Also, I don't want any answers from any of you California smart alecs who like to say "move to Cali man, way better dude." (No offense to anybody from California who isn't smart alec and doesn't talk like that.)
Please explain why you love or hate certain state(s)? You can use climate, geography, job opportunities, economy, the people, friendliness, and others you may choose.
My personal favorites are Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi. My least favorites are Virginia, Florida, and Kentucky.

Favorite Is also home Texas. Least favorite is Louisiana I do not under stand the desire to build a home were you can be wiped out so easily. The same goes for homes on the coast were hurricanes come often.That includes Texas.

My favorite is North Carolina, home state, I just love it here people are friendly, weather is pleasant most of the time, the beach isn't that far away. Lived in a few other states but keep coming home.
Least favorite would definitely be Virginia-lived outside of DC and those people are rude and always in a rush, they just need to slow down and smell the flowers every once in a while. They need to realize if you let someone out in traffic its not really going to slow you down that much afterall you are only going 5mph anyway.

Personally, as a california chick, I love georgia. The weather is hot, yes, but it is so pretty and jobs are great. Everyone is helpful and nice there.And the beach is gorgeous.
Kentucky sucks. My least favorite. The economy here is so frustrating. You can't get a decent paying job unless you know someone, or are family. The weather stinks, mosquitos are bad. And did I mention the people are killing kids more here? Quite a few shootings involved kids this and last month. The people here are very rude, in general.
P.S. Don't move to cali, it sucks unless you have plenty of money, or you are gay.

It's too bad that people give Arkansas such a bad rep. At least visit before you pass judgement! We have beautiful mountains, lakes, resort areas, etc. We have all kinds of people and backgrounds here. Check us out! Bet ya'll can find some delicious taters & gravy, and just about any type of cuisine you may want! We even have automobiles and cell phones just like the other states! And we wear shoes too!!!!!! (lol)

Texas is my favorite because I live there. The people are friendly and you can go north to the panhandle for snow or to el paso for the mountains, or you can go to padre for the beach... basically, you can visit every type of geography that you would want to see.
I also like FL because I love the beach!!
AR is my least favorite because I've never been there, but also because I don't think of that state as having a lot to offer as far as things to do or see. Pretty backwards if you ask me. Same goes for Mississippi (but i've been there so i know it's backwards).

YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT MARYLAND AND DELAWARE. THOSE STATES AND "SOUTH" SHOULDN'T BE IN THE SAME SENTENCE. SAME GOES FOR VIRGINIA AND WEST VIRGINIA. BUT ANYWAY, I PERSONALLY LOVE MISSISSIPPI AND LOUISIANA. PEOPLE HERE ARE SO NICE AND SEEM HAPPIER THAN PEOPLE IN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY. ALSO, THE COST OF LIVING IS SO MUCH LESS. Kentucky is my favorite, cuz for one thing many of our soldiers come from there, those Kentucky farm boys are real tough and patriotic Americans and I totally respect them for that, and my favorite actor, William Shatner has a huge horse ranch in Kentucky:) My least favorite is Texas for various reasons that I don't wish to express as some of them might sound offensive to some people.
