If we only use 10% of our brains, whats the other 90% doing, and why have we evolved this way. Also what do you think the world would be like if humans COULD use 100% of their brain power?

using 10% seems to be on everyone tongue at the moment.
actually our brain activity is around the 20% mark which may rise during periods of REM sleep or stress.
We use all parts of our brain but not all at the same time.
Think of it in terms of a computer processor.
Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click the performance tab of your task manager.
Dosent seem to be doing very much, but infact it is performing mind numbing calculations every second.

We do use 100% of our brains but not all at the same time. The senses take up a large portion of our brains automatically so you are using that brain space without realising it. The same goes for breathing, heart beating etc and other unconsious motor functions. A large portion of the brain is working all the time whether you are conscious of it or not.

Our brain is the most mysterious part of our body. Researchers today are still baffled of why humans are still using a fraction of their brain. Some possible reasons why is because we just don't know how to use them properly. Another reason is maybe because our body is not properly built yet sustain our life if we use the full-power of our brain. I think that it will take us thousands of years before we can do that.

I think we only understand 10% of our brains. The rest has to be good for something. Otherwise, we could save a lot of material on baseball caps.

what in heavens name do you think god is? some kind of machine? image and likeness of God carries over into something the mind is not capable of grasping, like what goes on inside an atom at the most minute scale. THAT IS WHAT DNA IS. you will do well if only you at least dismiss the neediness of your tendency to regiment a differential in questions/answers, and the relationship being this.

It's like how we use our house, we can't occupy the whole house at the same time, in the same way sometime we use the part of our brain that does math, other times we use the part that lets us understand what's on TV, etc

actually we only use 50% of your brain and its because we are to thick to use the rest! we will evolve into using 100% eventually that is if we aren't extinct by then lol ^_^

We consciously use 10% of our brains, rest of it is used for stuff we dont consciously do and obviously for storage. You might be wondering what do we without our knowledge ... well stuff like breathing, digestion, hormone secretion etc ...
