it is ok to wear a tampon all night i had this same question and i asked a doctor and they said the only thing that could happen is you can have a leak if you sleep a long time but you dont want to leave it in for to much longer then 8 hours. if you leave it in to long then you could get TSS which is toxic shock syndrom. It depends on how long you sleep i mean if you sleep for 9 or 10 hours then you shouldnt wear one in your sleep but if you sleep a little longer then eight hours then you should be ok sometimes it is best to wear a really thin pad just in case you leak. it sucks to have periods. i hope this helps. i went to the doctor and asked them that same question and that is what the doctor said.

Because I have a VERY heavy flow I have to wear tampons and pads, especially to be because the pad will leak as I turn in my sleep. (I only use regular tampons, not super - I'm scared of TSS). I do put a new tampon in right before bed and change it first thing in the morning when I wake up. I don't wait until after breakfast. :-)

The box says up to 8 hours. I'd really be careful using Super and above. The higher the absorbency the greater the risk for toxic shock syndrome.

It is OK to have a tampon is while you sleep, but not more than 8 hours. I don't think that it is the best. You can over sleep and leave the tampon is for longer than it should be in for.

Yes it is ok. I have been doing it since I started using tampons about 10 years ago. Just make sure you put it in right before bed and take it out first thing when you wake up. What you are risking it TSS but then again that is one of those side effects that happens once in a thousand or so, if not even more.

Well I wouldnt wear a tampon when Im sleeping. You might oversleep and have your tampon more than 8 hrs. But if you decide to sleep with one on, put it on till you are going to bed, that way it wont harm you!

TSS is vary vary rare. i have always warn tampons to bed and at times, when sick have sleep for 12 hrs (vary sick mind you). Just make sure you put it in right before you got bed and right after you wake up. As long as you keep yourself clean you know, down there (lol) you don't have to worry about things growing down there that shouldn't be there.

yes, as long as you put it in right before you go to sleep and take it out quickly prior to waking up. if your period is heavy, you may want to wear a pantyliner while you sleep.
