They have good chances, but they have to be careful of Croatia and Brasil, two teams a lot more experienced.

While it'll be a big boost for the Socceroos to have beaten Japan, I'd still wager that Brazil and Croatia will go through. The really telling match, I think, will be Croatia vs. Australia. A draw, and Australia to go through.

No, they are not a sure thing, but the loser of that game has virtually no chance to get through. Australia now has a chance, and it will now make the result of the Croatia vs Australia match crucial.

Australia is another team who is progressing very well Today, I think that they won only after Japan got very tired at the end. But I think that now they are going to the next round for sure. .

yes australia scored because the japanese were tired but the pressure that australia was applying to the japanese defense became too much to handle. one goal was enough to make them fall apart. if they saved the first the japanese probably would have won the game.
as for an answer to the question, it a massive boost for the chances of australia getting through to the next round we are +2 on goal difference which is good if we are drawn for 2nd place at the end of the first round

Japan was more stylish and attacking more but there are more technical failures specially there passes from T-Box.
Aussies were well organised and i think they are the suprise package for this years world cup

OK they are in a group with Brazil there is no way they are making it out. i am as happy as the next person but whats the chances of them beating Brazil?
