depends on how the baby is growing. I'd try to get an ultrasound and if the tech says the baby is growing fine and it's size matches give or take a week or so, then just eat right.

The baby will take whatever it needs from you. If you are not getting adequate nutrition, your health will be affected before it will ever affect your baby. If you are eating a healthy diet and getting the proper amount of food and nutrients, then you should be fine.

If you are dieting and trying to not gain weight with your pregnancy, stop. You are going to gain weight, you have to. Generally, a healthy pregnancy weighs between 20 and 30 pounds (the baby, the extra fluid, the placenta, etc.)

Usually, you don't gain much (or you will even lose) in your first trimester and you gain the last two trimesters. Keep seeing your OB/GYN and take your cues from him/her. Make sure you are taking care of yourself and the rest will take care of itself.

Best of luck and congratulations.

It really is not as the baby needs nutrients to grow and if you are losing weight, you are probably not providing it for the baby... I would assume that your doctor has taken a concern into this as most doctors usually do... If you have not seen a doctor, then you should....

You should never diet while pregnant. You could be causing harm to the child and potentially thwart his/her development. Make sure you are eating a healthy well balanced diet including a good amount of folic acid and you should be fine. Continue your prenatal checkups and consult with your physician about any specifics.

I lost more weight then I gained during both of my pregnancies. My doctor monitored me and I was fine. Talk to your dr. It may just because you are sick. That was my problem.

talk to the doctor and express your concern it could be normal. Have you been sick lately? I was with my last daughter and was sick and she was born with a congenital birth defect and mild cp. NO two children or pregnancies or people are the same but it is just something you want to monitor closely. Good luck and congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
