Typically nothing, depending on the issuer, they might charge you a late fee. However, most credit card banks do not report on your credit until you are 30 days past due. Everything up until that point will be things such as a "courtesy call" to make sure you have sent payment. I worked in collections at MBNA America and that was the routine.

Most companies will allow you 10 days after the late date, but you will have to pay a late penatly and it is usually included on your next statement. try not to pay your bills late even if you can only afford the minimum payment at that time. Late payments reflect your credit score if you are frequently 30 days late on any bills.

Usually they slap a late fee. They could even increse your interest rate. Some banks are lenient. If it's the first time and you have a valid explanation they might waive the late fee. Some banks have a grace period of a few days if in case you mail it late. Call them and get details.

You will get a late fee for sure. They might increase your APR. If it is your first time, they probably will not report it to the credit bureaus. I would definitely call them, once again, if this is your first time, you probably will be able to reverse the late fee. Good luck!
