yes.I agree with mielder76.i am a beauty therapist, and saying no to this question just goes to show the lack of knowledge about sun protection. If you use spf 60 it simply means you can stay in the sun 60 times longer before burning then you could without using an spf lotion.same as i f you use spf 15 you can stay in the sun 15 times longer without burning.if it takes you 10 mins to burn normally without an spf lotion on applying an spf 60 would mean you can stay sun bathing for 60 times longer before burning or having to reapply. Its also correct that if you dont protect yourself now that you'll be left with aged damaged skin in the future.

SPF stands for "Sun Protection Factor", by that, SPF 60 means that if you usually burn after 10 minutes standing under the sun without any sun protection, multiply 60, it will now take 600 minutes before your skin gets burned.
That's a very lloooooong time... 10 hours of direct sunlight! But I guess where you live, the sun dont shine that long... lol
But when you apply the lotion, be generous. Make sure all areas are covered well.
Depending on where you are, some UVRs can be quite nasty. Most nasty around 12noon - 3pm. Especially when there's snow around you, the reflection's quite dangerous. Just because, you're feeling cold from the snow, does not mean you dont need protection agst UVR.

Yes you can get a tan. Just to inform you and all those who tan. SPF is not a tan stopper. It protects you from the harmful UVA/UVB rays that come from the sun. The number 60 , doesn't mean stronger it simply gives you a longer amount of time in the sun before "burning" and damage occurs. Also the amount of chemicals such as Zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, etc. that are contained within. If you don't want a tan cover up or don't go outside. Just for those who read this also, yes blacks, hispanics, and the darkest skin tones can tan and burn. So please use SPF on a daily basis. At least a 15spf to prevent aging and sun damage. All you young beautiful teenagers and twenty somethings, tanning in any form(besides spray and bottles) is terrible for you. Yes, it looks great and everyone does it,but in 10-15 years you'll be spending 1,000s of dollars for laser peels and face lifts. Don't do it. people always comment on ethnic skin and it's ageless qualities such as african american skin. Skin is skin ,but the next time you're at the beach or tanning bed look around and count the # of blacks or hispanics you see, then go to the mall and count the # at the anti-aging counters. So be smart and cover up, use spray or bottle tans, liquid bronzers,or pay for it later. G' luck

It will be a great help, but it depends on what you expose your skin to. Mid day sun in Brazil for two hours if you are very pale skinned, will probably get through even spf 60, especially if you are sweating.
Best not to go out for long if you have delicate skin. Good for you that you are protecting yourself.

If you want to learn how to stop any type of violence the you should have the program of Bruce Perry, Patriot Self Defense , a program that you only will get it here https://tr.im/ZTBBQ
Patriot Self Defense may teach you a very efficient self-defense process that's been field-tested in domiciles, at government activities and on some of the meanest roads in the world against probably the most callous, cunning and dangerous criminal.
With Patriot Self Defense you will see out that is much easier then you expected to defend yourself because that you don't need to be a professional or have strength, you have to learn how to do certain moves, easy moves but deathly.

I get burnt no matter how the SPF is now that they've removed PABA. I was able to stay out in the sun with PABA 20. Now nothing works for very long.
