You don't have to as long as you feel something about him-sympathy, concern. This is how it works with all the couples: someone cares more someone less.

you gotta tell him how you fel a.s.a.p. i had a guy who was madly in love with me and i told him on several occassions i did not love him. sadly because things went to far, and he relal ythought i would change my mind when i finally snapped i lost a good friend. he then would question other men i was with a began to follow me around. pretty soon i foundblags of my self and my pictures in devotion on the internet. i was very scared. to this day i do not know where he is and what has happened to him. i told him the truth and it did not set him free very well at all. try and break it to him easy maybe set him up with a friend. but do it now before things go to far.

You're afraid, I suspect, of hurting his feelings but in fact all you would be doing is kindly pointing out that not everybody feels the same and you are sorry, but you are not ready for that kind of relationship (or whatever you feel is the truth). If he were hurt by that, the hurt would be by himself not being able to accept facts, not by your kindness and honesty.

So many times we feel guilty that we seem to have hurt people when what has really hurt them is their dreams, aspirations or expectations being too great. If you understand that, it makes it a whole lot easier to talk it through with the other person.

it's not easy to tell someone that you don't love them when they they love you, but you've got to do it. It's not fair to string the poor lad along. Just try to be honest with him and avoid the cliches. The "it's not you, it' me" line will never wash.

Easy, either tell him face to face, over the phone or via e-mail. Think about it, you're doing him a favour by stopping him wasting his time with you.

It will not be easy but you need to tell him.
It is unfair to him to keep him ahnging on like this.
The sooner you tell him the better so that you can both get on with your lives.
