Yeah, sadly, I don't know of a single person who is even watching the World Cup. It's just not a big thing here for the Attention Deficit Disorder USA. Maybe because the people here absolutely cannot go hours without anybody scoring
. I can remember Kiera Knightly saying something on The Tonight Show about Beckham and she was met with blank stares. She had to explain who he was. I think most people here only know him as the dude who's married to that Spice Girl. But we don't all feel that way. Soccer is slowly and steadily gaining major ground. I went to a tournament for my girls yesterday and it was packed with people. The Latino population is also bringing soccer to the forefront.

Big congrats to you Aussies!
I'm have been at work during the match and reading the commentary on my computer here in sunny Kent, England! I can just imagine the party in Sydney, bit of a late night!
I really wanted you to win!
Let's just hope the Yanks can do the same! Bit of an early morning!

FIFA really doesnt mean much in the states yet. i hope we do well but it will take a while for the country as a whole to adopt this sport. besides its baseball season while FIFA is going on so until people start watching it really doesnt matter.
