He wants to know what can be done to improve efficiency and improve the work flow. He sees that you are all having problems keeping up in the wake of the manpower shortage. Be constructive and honest. Don't ask for more holidays or money. You know where the problems are and why the work is piling up. Think up some solutions. This is a good time to make some moves up the ladder and anything you come up with that helps will look really good on your resume.
