Congratulations on your big accomplishment! I got my AA degree last year, and I have transferred to a 4 year university. It is a stepping stone on your way to higher education.
I looked in the help ads for my local paper, and yes...there were jobs that asked for at least a two year degree in accounting, and payroll type work. Of course it is not what a CPA would do, but it is some type of payroll, or excel type of imput.
So there is an advantage because it shows employers that you have taken the next step and are willing to.
Good luck.

Short of just being a teacher's assistant, not very much. An associate's degree is considered by some to be "half a degree", and there is logic to this. Most associate degrees from community colleges are two year programs. A bachelor's degree will require two more years of study.

I seriously doubt it. An Associate's is just like a diploma. Continue to go to school and get your Master Degree. And your education prospects will turn into a banging job.
Good luck in your studies.

you can't do anything with an AA degree -- take it from someone who has one. You won't get the same respect in the workplace. You're pretty much treated as a college dropout. I'm working on my Bachelors now.

I would continue my education and get a BS in mathematics. Then, i'd go on to get a MS in mathematics if I were in your shoes.

i have that same problem. if you want to show to employers you are working on a higher degree it helps. but i have not found it to be useful in any jobs i could not have gotten without it.

No. You can barely do anything with a Bachelor's.
