Please help. I need to do a thorough invetigation about the background of someone who I think is a con. Help?

This guy lives overseas now and claims to have worked at a one a huge firm in the US as well as has PH.d from a swiss university. How can I do this. PLEASE HELP.

You could probably do some checking on line. Google his name and see if anything comes up. If this is a serious matter, hire a private detective or atleast check into an online investigative service (they are much cheaper).

Hire a private investigator or you can try calling your local police department and giving them his info and tell them you think he is a con man working in your community.
