I don't want to "dispose" of them if I buy them. hehe Maybe I'll imitate a friend who said "fine, then I'll just sit here and drink them all" and cracked them up so they just let him keep them.

You can bring back 1 liter alcoholic beverages duty-free. Anything more than 1 liter is dutiable, as long as you don't bring so much back that they think you're in business selling rum! Legally you are required to declare it on your customs declaration form. If you are searched, you could plead ignorance, but it'd be a lot cheaper just paying the $2 or $3 duty per bottle. If it's a small amount, they might just wave you through anyway.

Depends on how many you drink on the plane back!

Seriously 2 liters, but its no big deal to bring more back, the odds of customs checking your bags are rare, customs isn't very concerned about a few more bottles of Rum, if you get caught plead ignorance and ask them if they would be willing to "dispose" of your extra bottles and you wont have any problems.

Bring as many as you can carry. If you are over the 2 liter limit you will just have to pay a small tax on each bottle and if they are really busy they will send you through rather than fill out alot of paperwork just to collect $5.00
