Cut it. Comfort over appearance, I say.

If you love it short you should cut it. He loves you for who you are, not your hair. Don't fall into the "long hair is beautiful" trap. When my hubby met me I had long blonde hair. After a couple years of being together I cut it shoulder length. Since then I have had it every length and every shade imaginable but it hasn't changed how much he loves me. Sometimes I look at the models on tv and celbrities and think I want my hair long again but every time I start to grow it out I change my mind. I love it short. You should do whatever makes you happy.

How badly do you want it long? If you can endure a single summer with it at this "awkward" length, then next summer it will be long enough to stay in a pony tail or bun.
In the meantime, try wrapping it up in a head cloth of some kind to keep those tickling strands off your face and neck. Or gather it into a snood or bag-net.
Or maybe try getting it thinned and layered before you cut it all off? There is more to having long hair than staying away from the scissors. Ask a professional hairdresser to help you.

Well it seems that he may not want you to cut but he is supporting you which is a good thing. And for him to let you know he fell in love with you that same way he will still love you. I think that's good communication. If you want to cut your hair I think it's fine with him as long as it's a good, sexy haircut. If your not so sure than try to find a method that will permanently hold your hair up. I think you can find something because my co-worker has her hair all the way to her ankles. I think it more than 5 feet! And some how she finds a way to hold up her hair. If she can I think you can also. But if you decide to cut it, make it very sexy and unforgettable for him that he wouldn't;t be able to take his eyes off you. Best Luck......Make the best choice!!!!

Lets face it. Most men love lonh hair.
But, its hard to keep, especially during hot seasons.
I too have long straight hair, but beauty has a price attachde to it, hence uncomftiness..
Therefore, you might consider trying different styles. I dont mean to promote any specific products, but if you are having trouble keeping it up, try the scrunchi metal. It worked for me, and I fell in love with the different variety of hair do's I could try.
If not, perhaps you can tru cutting it in a way you've never tried before.
As most people will agree, your hubby will love you either way.
Just if you cut it, and go to the mall or elesewhere with him, dont be jealous when he gives us longed haired gals a second glance.

Maybe instead of going really short, you could get some layers in it to thin it out a bit. Mine is very thick, and naturally very curly, so that is what I opted to do.
Mine was really really long when my hubby and I married, and after making the mistake of having about 9 inches taken off of it, I regretted not doing something a little more "gradual". Good luck! :)

Your hubby was turn-on by the long hair, but because he loves you and respects your feelings, he selflessly gave you the authority to cut it off. It's like a win-win relationship, because he knows that hair will grow to the desired length again. He actually loves you for who you are, not the quality of hair you possess. I say, go for it girl, follow your instincts.

That's a good relatioship. My gf grew her hair out for me. I always thought that women were far more attactive with long hair, but I still told her to cut it if she wanted to. Turns out that even though my gf didn't like the idea of long hair in the beginning, that she now likes having long hair. So in the end for us it worked out.
I'm not going to give you an easy "cut it" answer, but what I will do is tell you to do is balance it out in your head. Take the pro's and con's and see for yourself if it's worth cutting your hair or not, because I'll bet that he really doesn't want you to cut it, but is more intersted in your well-being.
Good luck and good cutting :P

If it's bothering you that much, cut it! It's too hot for long thick hair, and it will grow in time for the winter. I am sure your husband loves you either way.

Do it. There comes a time where sometimes your hair is unmanageable and just IRRITATING in the summer, like mine. If I could go and cut it off without having the Richard Simmons fro, I would.
Go for it. Make yourself comfy this summer!!!!
