Zhane? Hmmmm, Not too sure where that one comes from, but I do remember a writer of western fiction who went by the name Zane Gray. But his real first name was Pearl, go figure...
Anyway, I don't get why people want to name their children exotic names. I know that they want their children to have unique sounding names, but I think it can go too far. I would caution you to remember thay children can be CRUEL and they'll ridicule anything, given the chance.
So be sure that you consider (what I like to call) the "put a sign on 'em that says "beat me up" factor when selecting your child's name. He'll thank you for it later in life...

Not a big fan. If you love the sound of it, why not use Zane? Also check out iVillage - there are 2 very active baby name boards and you'll get tons of information there.

I would have to agree with your husband sorry. I am not a fan at all of odd or "unique" names. I would have to say that child will have a very difficult middle & high school experience with a name like that IMHO.

Why not add your hubby's name in it to neutralize his hate. If your hubby's name is Michael, name you baby Zhane Michael. What do you think? :-D
Good luck to your baby. May he come to this world, healthy and bubbly.

Its okay. My advice is to take the time to agree on a name that you both like because you don't want your husband to hate your kids name.
