Oopsies! You forgot to add the word "desperate" before "women"...!

This is a horrible generalization! Usually it is a cry for attention and a sign of low self-cofidence. If you are a beautiful, intelligent, and poised woman, you can't ward that attention off, try as you might.

Your basic question is--why exposure? Ask yourself, isn't it possible and natural for women to have desires. If so, how are they expected to fulfill them, with the society putting the taboo on sex. You can't do it overtly; so, you do it covertly. And especially in our Indian culture, where women are taught to be so conservative, this is one of the few options left to them. The motive behind exposure need not be pure sex; rather, it can also be an attempt by the woman to affirm her femininity. She might be trying to attract as well as to find out what men (or possibly other women) think about the show of assets. And possibly, the woman might just be believing in the saying--If you have it, then you should flaunt it. To conclude, I would say that the usual motive behind the woman's exposure is her search for her femininity, and more of it, but you never know what could be in a woman's mind at the moment. Depends on the person, and specific circumstances.

Women dress to impress women first. Women dress to impress men second. Women dress to impress themselves most. On the first point, revealing attire is a competitive sport, "Bet you can't wear this, you old cow" is akin to what they seem to think at times. On the second point, whether they plan on coupling up with a man or men, the attention that revealing clothing gains them from the male population is a reassuring "I've got it, at least a little, to turn heads" or even I've "still got some of it." Finally, for this discussion at least, women look at their reflections (mirrors, windows, water, etc.) and see themselves as beautiful in those thin, wispy clothes, stylish minimalism which they could only dare to wear if they indeed did look pretty, beautiful, or maybe even drop-dead gorgeous in them.

Why do men wear what we wear? It is comfortable, impressive, etc. We show off muscles, or a good bulge between our legs. Sexual attractiveness or the desire for it is part of being human.

I'm American, and I don't wear a sarie. Although I've seen Indian women wear them, and they are beautiful! They make transparent ones? Sounds like it can be an American craze soon enough, we need new ways to show off our bodies! It's all about getting back to Eden, women really miss walkin around naked. I mean, men walk around with no shirts.

Women are under the impression that men like them. Also, most women are under the impression that men'll like them for what they look like rather than what women believe, think or how intelligent women are. They do keep staring when we wear that sort of thing and they do view ****. Why would we believe otherwise?

Because they aren't confident enough about themselves as a person, so they think that the only way they can get attention from men is by showing off thier bodies.

#1 - because it makes them feel good, and proves they are confident with their sexuality.

#2 - because it proves that women are the weakness of most men.....men become completely discombobulated when they see a woman that confident!!
