And you know what makes that possible?

The stupid drug laws.

At least with tobacco, the government collects the taxes form them, because they are not illegal.

Do you realize how much the government could take in if they legalized the rest of them?

Crap, Dubya could probably balance the budget, particularly after dropping all the war on drugs crap.

Will drug use go up? I doubt it. Most of them will still kill you given enough time.

Most drugs were originally made or cultivated for medicinal purposes. The problems began when those drugs became addictive. Now, people continue to cultivate some dangerous drugs for money. It is often the only way some people can see of making any money.
