WeezyChan says "there is no such thing as a Christian band." Err... Inexplicable comment. Then says "especially a rock band." Is not the drum the most primal, and therefore ancient instrument? I agree a lot of "rock music" is not of high moral fortitude, but there is no reason Christian's can't make rock music. BTW I am not a practicing Christian, but am sympathetic. I will say one thing in direct response to your question, No I do not know of any good Christian bands. Good musicians, perhaps, but completely unoriginal.

Switchfoot (Dare You to Move, Meant to Live) is good. Casting Crowns (Voice of Truth, If we are the Body, Who am I) is a good one.Mercy Me (So Long Self, God Of Wonders, I can only imagine), Jars of Clay (Liquid, I'll Fly Away) and jeremy Camp (beautiful one, I still believe, this man) are milder. There is alot of good Christian music out there right now.

The Carter Family.
They may not still be touring (that I know of), but their music enjoys continued success as some of the most covered songs ever written. Had Pearl Harbor (Dec. 7, 1941) not usurped their Life Magazine cover story they would have been so huge that their style of "Country Christian", or gospel / bluegrass would have likely been the dominant American music of the last century. Never the less, Country music owes its' huge success to the foundation provided by the Carter Family's great, but never truly fulfilled, legacy.

Relient K - Pop/Punk (They have four albums and each is a little different.) "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been"
Stellar Kart - Pop/Punk (One album out now, another one coming in about a month) "Student Driver"
Building 429 - Rock "Glory Defined"
Switchfoot - Rock (Not really a Christian band anymore, but their first four albums were)
Thousand Foot Krutch - Punk/Rock (Think Linkin Park mixed with some punk. Hard to describe.)
Those are like your bands, but there are also worship bands Like Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Casting Crowns, Big Daddy Weave, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, and Sonicflood.
Anyway those are some of my favorites.

Relient K is my favorite. They're Punk I think?
I also like Casting Crowns. They're Alternative?
I also agree with the guy above. Switchfoot is awesome. I saw them in concert a while back and it was a great performance.

I like Third Day, but my favorite is the Lost Dogs. My favorite song is Reasonable Service on the album Green Room Serenade. They are mostly rock, but do some traditional songs too. They have so much variety you are bound to find at least one song you like.

Third Day is really good; they are definitely in the alternative rock genre, as is Switchfoot.
If you are more into pop, Jars of Clay is good; their third album, The Eleventh Hour, is my favorite.
