For the past week or so I've had what I thought was pink eye.( My son had pink eye on and off for a month or so) When I get up in the morning, my right eye is swollen, red and watery. However, after being up for a few hours, my eyes seem to be fine and I'm able to put my contacts in. I've also had a sore throat and a little cough since this started. I've been to my doctor as well as an eye doc and they both say the same thing, allergies. I haven't had allergy problems like this since I was 6 years old!! I'm really getting tired or getting up with a sore throat and puffy eyes. What do you think? Is anyone else out there having these same problems?

I don't wear my contacts during the week at all. I've been trying to let my eyes get over this. It's driving me nuts! I've never had this much of a problem. I can't put my finger on what's different this year. Ughhh..I hope it goes away soon. This is the beginning of week #2 of this junk. Any good home remedies or over the counter stuff that you guys take?

I would say that it's allergies! My symptoms are the SAME EXACT ONES as yours! I just keep blowing my nose, making myself sneeze, and using nasal spray and claritin! I'm usually 100% by 10am.

sounds like a good possibility,, since you have had a life long issue with it. allergies can cause havic. and can give you syptoms like that. iam in florida, and something is always blooming here, its even worse when there is no rain and everything is dry. try to boost your immune system too, that will help your body fight things.

Try not wearing the contacts or a couple days....sometimes contacts can cause reactions like that.
